Borrow some big wall paper sample books, pick out the most garish of the lot & the soft furnishings you would never usually choose, show her these & say you are going to have someone decorate your whole house.

Sit back & wait.

Paula, I was going to suggest the temporary tattoes, they are easy to use and wash off after a few days.

I tricked my o.h. early in our relationship. I had a 50th birthday get together in our local pub and turned up with a black rose on my upper arm. Said it was my rebellion at being 50. Most of my friends knew it wasn't real, it hadn't been there the previous day and wasn't covered up or red and sore or whatever. O.h. was totally fooled tho and kept saying he thought I was brave to do it. His face when I told him later was a picture lol

Was thinking a good idea for birthday or christmas is to buy her the most awful present and tell her you loved it so much you had to buy her one.

Used to have a friend who liked to copy my clothes and household furnishings. Fortunately her husband was rather mean so when she asked where things had been bought and how much they had cost my partner used to laugh and say "you just don't want to know - you will need a second mortgage if +++++ wants to buy the same". No matter how inexpensive things were, +++++ dared not buy the same as her husband would not believe what she had paid.

It worked!
