I can fully sympathise Susan. I nearly got taken out by a Peppa Pig Play tent at the weekend. It shot out of its paper binding like a shot out of a gun. To make matters worse our grand daughter wouldn't go near it and then no matter how hard we tried we couldn't get the blessed thing back in the box again, no matter how hard we bent, folded ot twisted it.

It is now permanently up in our living room. Great, it makes such a lovely addition.

If you were camping in Paris and tripped over a guy rope and fell in the river would you be in Seine?

Allan Report 24 May 2013 12:46

Just don't let the police find you inside one...you could be charged with loitering within tent :-D

Susan I have done this myself, getting the tent out and popping it up is great , but it is a nightmare trying to get it back in the bag. I hope your lip heals up soon :-)

Susan10146857 Report 23 May 2013 23:58

It's my mouth that hurts Allan...not my typing fingers.......as Lynda well knows cos she is deliberately making me laugh so's it hurts more, as are you.....

Allan

Allan Report 23 May 2013 23:54

Obviously your injuries are not serious enough to prevent you engaging in electronic fisticuffs Susanwiv :-D

~Lynda~ Report 23 May 2013 23:52

I know your Oh is 30 years younger than you, but a woman in her late 80's buying a pop up tent, whatever next :-0 You should be taking it easy in a nice rocking chair :-D

Susan10146857

Susan10146857 Report 23 May 2013 23:50

Susan10146857

Susan10146857 Report 23 May 2013 23:48

I bought it for Oh Lynda.....can't have him using the real tent....he snores........am off to an agility comp for 3 days....I would take the caravan but have never been tenting and the hippy in me wants to try it out :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 23 May 2013 23:46

Ahhh.....here's Lynda. No sympathy there then - Susan's injured, Lynda :-|

~Lynda~

~Lynda~ Report 23 May 2013 23:45

You shouldn't be using pop up tents at your age :-0

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 23 May 2013 23:45

That's a good point, Susan. We bought a cheap pop-up tent for the grandies to play in. They have a great time setting up home inside the tent but I will warn Grandad to watch them when he puts the tent up in future.

it's a bit clicky. at times Allan....sometimes when others post I don't see what they have written until after I have posted then it looks as if I have ignored them.....

..but back to my smack in the mouth......sympathy please....it hurt!....and seriously......it was a cheap tent and one that parents may feel is ok for a child to use....what if they opened it and got injured

tsk! Sue....you are taking the mick now......am orft to sulk :-(

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 23 May 2013 23:39

I will, Susan - don't you worry. Now make sure you get plenty of rest and that your family are aware of how close you came to catastrophe.
