Bet he tries to get out on Health issues...

Nowt would surprise me but they should keep him laid on the concrete floor and then he won't have to exert himself too much..

It's incredible how many so called 'celebrities' think they are invincible and can get away with unspeakable crimes.

What a way for his life to end. How the mighty are fallen eh?

ChrisofWessex

ChrisofWessex Report 26 Jul 2013 22:07

He won't get an easy time in prison - inmates for crimes like he has committed usually receive punishment in prison.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 26 Jul 2013 22:20

I should think that he may want to stay in prison for the rest of his life. I'm assuming that his family won't want him back - would you let him near your grandchildren? Surely his wife wouldn't allow him back into the family home. Personally I couldn't bear looking at him let alone live with him. His life is ruined - he is not the celebrity he once was and never will be. Not much life to leave prison for.

I would make castration a condition of any future release of any sex offender. I don't understand enough about these things to know if the urges to do these kinds of things are deliberate or can't be controlled ........so it is best if the urges are removed altogether! :-)

 Sue In Yorkshire.

Sue In Yorkshire. Report 26 Jul 2013 22:44

But even with castration done that won't stop them as they use their hands more than anything else.

So just keep them in the nick on bread and water and certainly no comforts for them.
I blanket and the hardest bed the prison service can find.

I hope he rots in prison :-|

I do wonder if this kind of abuse is still going on to-day with so-called *celebrities* and impressionable youngsters? Or have they had a wake-up call with all the publicity over the past couple of years and decided to . . . mmm, who knows what?

SueMaid

Sadly, Sue, in this case the father said that the daughter's depression had nothing to do with him or what he had done!

Talk about no remorse!

Sue In Yorkshire. Report 26 Jul 2013 23:08

That has literally made me feel sick to my stomach.
I have read all the report and he actually took the child into bed where her blasted mother was..

Something wrong with that mother and she should have been charged with conspiracy to helping him commit the crime.

Sick or what.

A petiton should be started to get that judge out of his job..

His wife was by his side throughout his arrest and trial.

It should be noted that during the period he was denying his guilt he did find time to sign over all his assets to his wife.

Will she take him back ? Who knows ?

Annx Report 27 Jul 2013 00:26

You are quite right SueinL. I just had a google and it said these offences are not fuelled by sexual drive so castration wouldn't stop them, more's the pity.

Hall's arrogance when he stood and denied everything calling it spurious, etc etc made me sick at the time, he really thought he could get away with it didn't he?

I wouldn't want someone like him back in my life however long I had been with him, if his family have anything to do with him after this they are as bad as he is.

There will be others called to book that's for sure, hope they all get the come down too

Allan, how terrible. That poor girl abused by both parents, who have both got away with it.

It must have taken a lot of guts for her to come forward to say what had gone on, and then the judge kicks her in the face.

Will there be an inquiry about what the judge has done? It seems so wrong that it is almost unbelievable.

This "father" is not going to commit incest (i.e. rape this daughter) again, because she is now an adult. He was only interested in her when she was a child (pre puberty, it seems).
He has however been able to abuse her again with the help of the judge.

My thought go out to this very brave young lady.

OneFootInTheGrave

OneFootInTheGrave Report 27 Jul 2013 08:50

For some reason the courts seem to place some emphasis on how long ago an offence was committed. When will they get it into their heads that the time an offence was committed has no bearing whatsoever on the issue.

In my view, if a anyone is found guilty of committing a criminal offence, it does not matter when it was committed, then a punishment in line with the sentencing rules in place at the time of the court case should be handed down, not those in place at the time the crime was committed.
