Might even get a bit of time out tomorrow.

Then again.........

We have never applied for a disabled badge and I do wonder what Wales wants to encourage them in for. Suppose they must have a use for them, although I have never found one.

As it turned out it was a very good thing I didn't go anywhere today.

We had a power cut and that is the hardest thing I ever have to deal with. It is too complicated to have left to anybody else to deal with.

Electric hoist, air mattress, profiling bed. We can't operate without these and I need to explain to social services why all their suggestions are not practical and to organize a nursing home to take Fred for the night. We all need feeding. Our telephones need electricity and there is poor mobile signal here.

I have to do that one myself and it would be nice if Fred could be a bit more co-operative!

Remember if you have a Disabled Badge - you go over free - we did not realise this until we were leaving Wales (no charge)!!!

Sharron Report 23 Jul 2013 10:26

A tidy house would only make me nervous, I am not used to it.

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 23 Jul 2013 10:26

I don't think we will go today after all.

Don't think I can justify the travel expense at the moment.

We will go somewhere and maybe come to Wales later with a bit more notice.
Thanks for your wishes and invitations though.

I don't care. I won't be there.

Really! You would think I was a carer or something.

No footpaths on the new bridge, but he could travel across the old one free...or you could tow him across the new one... No extra charge for towing.

He'd need more than a margarine sandwich to power it that far though. He might need to find a sausage sandwich refuelling cafe.

Oh, I will leave him a glass of water and some margerine sandwiches.

Or were you wondering which route he takes?

What is the toll for a wheelchair on the Severn Bridge?

AnnCardiff Report 22 Jul 2013 22:35

Sharron Report 22 Jul 2013 22:26

We went down the side of the Severn from Monmouth ( I think) last time.

That way we get to see a bit of different countryside and get in for nothing.

It's expensive to get into Wales these days Sharron.
They want £6.20 on the toll bridge..... but it's free to leave Wales.

We went 2 weeks ago to meet friends in Swansea and I loved being back there.
...must go again soon and stay longer.

Enjoy your visit.

PS..To Ann
Sharron is OK and good company......
