Well, our little Katie is still struggling.
They tried her off the ventilator again and on Cpap.she managed for a while but it didnt last. She may be moved to another hospital with a chest specialist.
They are finding it puzzling that she's not responding.
Feel so sorry for grandson and partner trying to cope.
Hope Linda's granddaughter is improving.

She will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. Its a waiting time till we find out what the problem is.she is the biggest baby in the scbu ward, most are early prem.

Poor little girls, each with different problems but fighting on. I do hope they get stronger by the day and the doctors can soon find out what's wrong and help them get well.

Both families must be so worried - it's hard to see your baby struggling when you had expected them to be home and thriving.

I feel for you and hope she improves soon. My new granddaughter is eight weeks old now and is at home but has to be fed every three hours through a tube as any attempt to feed by mouth only causes her pain.
They are working their way through all the rare genetic abnormalities trying to find which one she has. It doesn't help her poor parents who are struggling to cope with both her and her three year old sister.
