Thank you for the website Brenda, it was interesting and hopefully she wi;; continue to improve

I saw Esme via Skype last night. She was in her cot watching her mobile go round, kicking out her feet and trying to reach towards the shiny play mirror on the side of the cot. She just looks perfectly normal for her age, until you notice the tube going down her nose.
She is still the same, refusing to drink anything by mouth. She is in less pain now she is on the dairy and soya free predigested milk, but she is still sick after every feed

Brenda, I have been following this thread anxiously. I don't usually go to websites that are put on threads, but I did in this case. It was very interesting, and it seems to me to point to hope for Katie.

Huia.

Hi Brenda.

Just looked on that website and had a read about Pig. At least now they have something to look into. I pray that Katie gets the right treatment and improves very soon. Reading that Katie was looking around sounds so good. Bless her and all your family. It must be so hard. We went through a very hard time 26 years ago with our youngest and she could not breath on her own for over 7 months. Totally different thing but understand how frightening it all is. Love to all xx <3 <3

This is the latest of the things they are looking into,.When I was told Pig thought this was the easiest way to explain it by giving website.
On reading some of this see that identical twins can be prone.Spoken to daughter who has seen her today and talked to doctors, about losing J's twin, they are getting the reports from the hospital where he was dealt with, but it was 25 Years ago.

Daughter says that Katie was looking around and behaving as a 6week baby should.
Changed Avatar to today's pic.

Hope they are working as hard to sort out little Esme...must say they are doing everything they can for Katie.

Thank you everyone for your support.

We are still awaiting news from America.
Speaking to my daughter yesterday she said that Katie's lungs stopped growing at 26 wks ,and they are like sponge.
I wonder they didnt spot this when she went for ante natal!....she had a bad time with strep B with the boy 20 months now,but she didnt have that this time.
Just messaged me to say that they are trying to cut down on the number of breaths the machine does and having her eyes checked out tomorrow as they could be affected by the ventilator.
It's a waiting game!!

Hope Esme is improving. <3 <3
