Honestly, why should I waste what little talent I have with good jokes and stories when no one comments on the lousy ones? :-| :-| :-D :-D

I'm assuming that there must be some good programmes on TV, but years ago Friday nights were really roaring on here

Caroline

Caroline Report 12 May 2018 00:57

Better jokes......and it's just slow not dead.....maybe no one has anything going on right now...it's the boards silly season.

Allan

Allan Report 11 May 2018 22:22

Better than What?

I'm just whiling away the hours until the next post :-D :-D

The way things are going the next post could be the Last Post for this site as it is laid to rest :-( :-D :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 11 May 2018 22:14

As the boards are back to their snail's pace again, I thought that a couple of jokes might make things move along a tad:

I spotted an ex girlfriend on the other side of the museum. I was going to say hello but there’s too much history between us!

I’ve left my job at the cat sanctuary because they reduced meowers

The aforementioned PM, Mr Tony Abbott is a member of the Australian life-guards (the beach ones, not to be confused with the UK Household Cavalry) He is also a member of a local volunteer fire brigade, and does a lot of bike riding for charity.

It appears the in at least two of these roles he enjoys wearing lycra and very skimpy costumes :-D :-D

They are called 'Budgie Smugglers' now, Kathryn, as famously worn (almost) by one of our ex-prime ministers, who, like Mr Putin, considers himself to be a bit of an action man!:-S

I will indeed be including some swimwear just in case the ship sinks. :-0

Despite the traumas of my last rail and sail holiday, as documented in my all-time best seller and published on this site, we've signed up for another one This one is going in the opposite direction from Perth to Sydney. :-D :

I think that OH thought that we would obtain a discount following our last harrowing adventure :-D :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 3 May 2018 20:30

You had to go there didn't you :-D

Kathryn

Kathryn Report 3 May 2018 17:56

Have you got your speedos ready? :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 3 May 2018 12:16

A holiday......well deserved no doubt :-)

Allan

Allan Report 3 May 2018 09:56

We are not even leaving the territorial waters of Australia, Dermot, so unless we are suspected of being illegal immigrants, there should be no mess to clean up ;-)

Dermot

Dermot Report 3 May 2018 09:44

The making of an immigration mess.

Does anyone know the ingredients?

Allan

Allan Report 3 May 2018 09:35

Oh dear!

Moving on from trusses, I've just gone and done something that is not quite bland and could be described as being on this side of boring :-0

We've booked a holiday! :-\

Well, Kathryn, I have a few male relatives including my older brother, my son and four nephews. Then their are two great nephews.

It could be a contentious issue and cause family ructions if this piece of elastic engineering were to fall into the wrong hands, or where ever.

So I may just elect to take it with me when I shuffle off this mortal coil.

The smell of burning rubber permeating the skies around the Crem would be an apt epitaph for me. One final act of pollution :-D :-D :-D

Reminds me of the joke about a very mean millionaire who wanted to be buried with all his money

His widow carried out his wishes to the letter

When he died she wrote a cheque for his total worth and placed it in his coffin :-D :-D :-D

Kathryn

Kathryn Report 2 May 2018 18:43

So Allan who will benefit from the truss fund? ;-)
