This year, Diwali , the Festival of Lights, falls on 19 Oct. That’s this Thursday.
If Sikhs or Hindus live in your area, don’t be surprised to hear fireworks going off over the following few days.

If you were interested in a meal, check out their website. At our local huge purpose built Gurdwarwa, they offer a vegetarian curry every day. They also have sleeping pods that anyone can use for one night.

We still haven’t got round to visiting :-0

What made yesterday's experience so odd was that he was wearing the overalls with the obligatory tar spatters and a turban that was absolutely immaculate, as they always are.

Turbans may protect from a side impact, but do they protect from a falling object? :-S

Living in close proximity to an area popular with Sikhs, it’s not that unusual to see a builder or road maintenance hard hat perched on top of a turban. :-D

I didn't notice if the others were wearing hard hats, that'snot where I look, but I suppose he would not be able to get a hard hat on. They don't have to wear crash helmets do they?

Yesterday, I drove past some roadworks and was really quite surprised to see one of the men, yes , I always have a good look at the men working on the roads, cor!, anyway , he was wearing the usual orange hi-viz boiler suit overalls and an immaculate navy blue turban.

Probably not surprising really but I live in a place with next to no ethnic mix and I am always delighted to see a sihk because I have never seen one who was not very attractive but I just did not ever expect to see a turban with overalls.
