I have finished the ten foot square patchwork I have been making on and off for over forty years has been taken to the people who will back and quilt it.

They will also attach the edging but I will then have to turn the edging over and finish the sewing of it. Just a mere forty feet of back stitch and then it is all done apart from turning the excess into pillow shams.

It might be back for me to finish by Christmas if I am lucky.

Oh how exciting Sharron it would be nice to snuggle under it by Xmas so I hope it is done for you by then.

I won't have the forty feet of back stitch done by then.

Hi Sharron

Just put the unfinished quilt on the bed and if you wake up and can't sleep, do a bit of back stitching lol

Do you have a ginormous bed, why is the quilt so big?

We have a super-king which is 6ft wide so that OH can sleep with his feet in bed so, with a 2ft overhang each side, that is about right. I got a bit carried away as well!

Oh, lovely big bed! I love long wide beds!

Won't back stitch show on one side? Maybe small running stitch and then go back filling in the gaps with m9re small running stitches?

Enjoy it tho, very snuggly lol
