Yes I saw that and thought it was disgusting too

Reminds me of the tv show about border control and customs and emigration through Heathrow where they have a list of bogus colleges that give false certificates and they catch people trying to come into the uk professing to be students on student visas but are in fact working illegally

It seems a big problem that has been going on for years because Some of those border control episodes are from 2008 onwards

The Panorama program is just the tip of an iceberg. Neither is there anything new higher education scams, often linked to non-EU/UK students, have been common for 20 years. The fraud is embedded. May tried to get a grip on it while Home Office minister but didn't get far. Brave Dave would not countenance certain communities and donors getting upset. Now Amber Rudd has the hot seat with lukewarm support from May. Hey ho.

There are similar large scale organised scams right through our body politic - house building, trains, Academy and "free" schools, health care, dental, defence. The Italians call it the Mafia.

No doubt by now you have become aquainted with some aspects of the Irish puppy farming scam.

Last night's Panorama raised two issues, people in jobs with qualifications they had bought, not earned, and people getting three years student maintenance grants while not actually studying.

Disgusting.

Those facilitating those frauds need jailing for a very long time.
