I found it, it was in the pocket on the back of the drivers seat in my car, I have not sat in the back of the car so we can only assume that when the car was cleaned by the cleaners in supermarket car park and they put it in the pocket if it as on the floor.

...when you get desperate, ask St Jude (the patron Saint of lost causes)! :-D :-D

My Mother in law used to say that too, and you had to pin a cushion while saying it.

maggiewinchester, that is my situation to a t, been through the where could it be process, it is my pay and go phone and the battery is probably flat by now so I’m gonna have to rip the house apart next :-D

ZZzzz - if, when it's phoned, no ringing is heard, I'd treat it like lost keys - and just go over the same 'where could it be' process! :-S :-S
I had a similar problem with a pay as you go, needed charging non-'smart' phone.

tower locations are only good for a city block not all that helpful for a mislaid phone. the police use two or more towers and triangulate, not something avail to punters. Even then they only have an evidential location not the device unless it has a tracker running.

Using mac log will for sure give time of last local wifi connection . if there is some power left in the device it can be tracked down.

As Supercrutch says action for lost phones is best done while the phone is available. Do they still teach that maxim about stable doors at school?

surely some one(authority) can track it? what about your network provider?

or find out what area it is pinging in from...?

it is also possible to track a net capable phone using its unique mac address. Even if you dont know it yr router will have a log of wifi connections with mac address.

whatever you try to do............
do it before the battery runs down!

Most trackers require you to acknowledge a text message as confirmation - no use if you have already mislaid your mobile :-(

try the web site "locatemyphone" if you cannot hear it ringing.

Ringing it is a start.

Is there a way I can find my mobile phone without contacting the police, as It hasn’t been stolen, just lost.
