Would you be called The Arsenal mark 2? :-D

Our household was Mother Father 2 kids and 5 step kids. Nearly had enough for our own football team. We could have our own team now with 12 Grandchildren :-D :-D :-D

Surely LaGooner is right - there is no such thing as a 'typical' family.

It USED to be father, mother and 2.4 children, nowadays it can be father & father, and mother & mother, and half children.
Something the Daily Mail seems to have found hard to grasp.

So, are we talking about a modern family or the Daily Mail's view of what a family SHOULD be?

I have to admit to using the word 'soccer' from time to time. It's a leftover from when I lived in Oz and footy meant Aussie Rules Football.

Also, it has never been the favourite sport in our house.

Candians play heavily padded up with a flat ball known as a puck. The game evolved from mucking about with hedgehogs, the padding being adopted when they upgraded to using porcupines and large clubs. DEFRA is trying out a brexit version with badgers.

Arsenal started as the works team of the Royal Arsenal munitions factory based in Woolwich, London. One of my family played in the team as an amateur. The original full title was "The Royal Arsenal Football Club".

The club became professional and moved to Highbury in the 1930s afaik. It was still referred to as "the Arsenal" and still is if you are a Londoner and not, say, Canadian. Come to think of it supporters of Spurs have some diffrent monikers but that is to be expected.

It also "the Gunners" not "Gunners" Gooner of course being totally ok.

Mine aren't very typical at all but none is smaller than 1.0 unit.
None of them care much for the DM Katie Hopkins or D Trump for that matter.
Only one supports the Arsenal (season ticket). The others don't care for soccer.

If I remember rightly, the typical British family is the one with 2½ children. :-D :-D

The Mail group recently severed all connections with Katie Hopkins on account of her tweets and expensive legal settlements. Maybe Donald Trump will now get a chance.

TDMG are finding life hard with profits sharply down forcing sell offs so as to keep the boat afloat. They are suffering badly from the M&S complaint as old customers depart and too few new ones join in.
