As long as it doesn't snow till Monday I'll be happy. Mr Owl will finish work at 6am on Monday as he does night security for a local supermarket whilst pretending he's a mature full time student at university. I always worry about him driving home after doing a night shift.

There was a tiny amount of sleet around for a few minutes on Monday afternoon in Birmingham.
haven't seen any signs of snow since then.

Hoping that it stays away for another few weeks!

Only a few flakes in Essex yesterday.
Frost was forecast for last night so I covered the car windscreen for OH early start on grandchildren-sitting duties but woke up to rain.

I am in the west of Scotland, and there was a lot of snow on the hills a few days ago, but none at sea level yet. Probably because we have had lovely sunny weather for a few days. The temperature was -2 last night but it is supposed to be getting a bit warmer. :-) :-)

It depends on where you live in the city as to how much snow you get as they had to build my home city on 7 hills. Where I am now will see plenty if it snows.

None here in my little part of Carmarthenshire (South West Wales).

But we are on the coast too, and usually have less than further inland.

Sharron Report 1 Dec 2017 10:04

There has to be plenty to spare for us to get any.

We are between the sea and the South Downs and we stick out into the sea as well so we often get none when those twenty miles east are knee deep in it and Gwyn is holed up for weeks.

None here, near Channel coast, but there was great excitement from local school children, when there were a few fluffy flakes about lunchtime yesterday.

All over in about 5 minutes.

Whilst apparently most of the uk is covered in snow here in the South East of Scotland it is 0 degrees rising to 4 degrees today and apparently 8 degrees tomorrow. There is also a distinct lack of snow.

Is anyone here knee deep in snow or have most escaped relatively unscathed?
