We don't do snow here, there really has to be a lot left over for us to get any.

The last really heavy fall we had was in 1987 and that had a wind behind it that blew the snow off the fields on to the road.

That was the year I was doing the village paper round. It took me eight hours and people were ringing up because their paper was late!

12 degrees here in Scotland’s south east. It feels like summer.

Reckon it's cold tonight - Betty's back under the radiator - and as there are wrapped Christmas presents in the way of the stairs, she's stopping poor George from getting upstairs :-(

No snow, but -10 here tonight :-(

Betty (cat) is under the radiator by the stairs - and it's not that cold in the house (heating turned up to 'blasting')

Ive had snow since Friday and now wish it would go away. 1st snowfall in 4 years so a bit of a shock to the system. Thurs we had caroline to contend with and power cuts.

So pray for rain tonight so that it all melts in some winter sunshine.

Don't get me wrong, I love looking at it and going for a nice walk too but driving 20 odd miles at 20 mph in drifts isn't fun!

with being near the sea, it doesn't usually stay very long anyway.

I prefer the strong winds to be honest!

Stay safe everyone and take care out and about

It was -4 here (Teesside) this morning with a thick frost. It warmed up during the day but I've just woken up after falling asleep in the chair and found that we have a layer of snow outside - must have come down in the last half hour or so!!

According to BBC Scotland is colder than Everest so stay warm :-D

Mind you they also said we wouldn't have snow so no roads gritted last night. This morning a woke up to a thick covering of snow and chaos on local roads :-S

Still my grandchildren and the dogs have had great fun in the snow :-D :-D <3
