The trick I use is to go through the schedules and set a 'reminder' for the ones I'm interested in. Unfortunately there was a power cut this morning. That's when I'd normally do it.
Even though we have a Sky Box, we've found that the remote supplied with the TV works well even when watching a satellite beamed programme :-D
