we do quite a bit of online shopping
Most of it is delivered to the house ( Amazon Prime etc) but, if we cannot guarantee that someone will be home, we get it delivered elsewhere.

Yesterday...
3 Amazon lockers at the local Morrisoons and 1 doddle parcel from their customer service dept
Another parcel from the local newsagent

There are further parcels in the Amazon lockers today and another company delivered one to the local Co Op.

A simple email lets you know that the packages have arrived and they give you about 3 days to collect them.
I love it!
:-D :-D :-D :-D

Of course if you'd really needed it for this morning it would have turned up next week!

Quite late, the night before last, I placed an order with Abakhan, a place in Flint that sells a lot of craft , knitting and sewing stuff cheaply. I think they buy up ends of lines and seconds.

Anyway, to my surprise, I had an e-mail from them last night to tell me they would deliver today and would send me an e-mail after 11 am when the order was put on the van, with a time slot.

I thought that would be pushing it a bit, Flint to West Sussex, but what do I know, vans probably go faster than when I was driving them, but not by much I would think!

This morning, I came downstairs at ten and the parcel was here. I had ordered enough to qualify for free delivery too!
