Thank you Joan and thank you all for my birthday greetings.

A lot has happened since my last birthday and to be honest I wasn't sure how I felt about the approaching Christmas and birthday season, but our family are strong and pull together.
My brother-in-law travelled from New Zealand with his wife and younger daughter, to be with us at my son's house for 2 days of lovely family time together, with my own 3 adult children.

I feel lucky to have them all.

How nice that you had family members from N.Z. to help you through this emotional time, Gwynn, and to make new memories too. The days will start getting longer (slowly) and you have spring and summer to look forward to.

Thank you Elizabeth, Liz and Prickles.

We are lucky to be part of a caring family.
We support each other in the good times and the bad and my children and I got back late last night from a visit to Somerset, where grandson has been appearing in pantomime.
It was another lovely memory to take forward into a new year.

Grandson finishes his pantomime run today, so we look forward to celebrating again, when he can be back with us for a meal and delayed present exchange.
