I am really enjoying the series.

With regard to JoyLouise's post it has got me thinking. We have left our deeds with the building society and left 50p. owing on the mortgage (at their suggestion) so that they would store the deeds for free until such time as we might need them.

However this was more than 30 years ago and I haven't thought about them since. I would imagine that if we did need to get the deeds now it would probably cost us something these days.. Maybe I should ring them and find out??

I usually watch this series on catch up. I know the area reasonably well and we used to go to a Dentist in nearby Rodney Street. Imagine my surprise last week when I saw someone I knew being interviewed by the presenter. Her late husband's family had lived in the house and she showed some documents relating to the family- I think they were the ones who were there for about 40 years but can't remember their name. doh.....
