'That'll be the Day' is on tv, David Essex looking about 15 ( actually about 26 when he made the film) I am 10 years younger give or take and went to see it with first proper boyfriend.

How can that possible be nearly 45 years ago :-(

I just love David Essex.......those eyes of his!!

I know what you mean about time. It seems only yesterday that i brought my first born home and now he will be 46 this year. I'm sure I'm not old enough to have a son his age, lol.

David Essex mmmmn. I remember going to see that film with my bestie in the 70's I think. It was a AA which meant you had to be 16 but we were about 14 I think. We put on make up and I looked older, I got the tickets, she got the Kioras..lol

It was a double film with Stardust.

He died at the end and we were both crying into our hankies .

Ive seen him in concert a couple of times. A lovely guy who shunned showbiz and does a lot of charity work.

What lovely memories its brought back.

The Rolling Stones are advertising their latest tour. So is Roger Waters.
The TV/Radio has the Archers, TOTP and Dr Who.
You can buy 33rpm vinyl records in the supermarket.
A Martin guitar sounds as good as ever.
Some things haven't changed.
