There is an article about Sandie Shaw in the Daily Mirror today illustrated with several photographs from the 1960s.

One picture has Sandie Shaw in a photograph with the Beatles. Right in the middle of the photograph and warranting no mention at all, was Karl Denver.

Now that really was one of the great voices of the sixties!

Then I googled him - I remember 'Wimoweh'

Never realised his real name was Angus Murdo McKenzie :-D

Wimoweh is the song I think of, when hearing his name too.

I know the name, but wouldn't have recognised a picture.

No, Malcolm. I am younger than you and I think I missed all the good stuff although I have been there a couple of times, once to see the Dubliners and there is only one of them left now.

The other time I saw Kevin Bloody Wilson.

I remember Karl Denver, I liked his voice too. Sandie Shaw was a favourite of mine and I used to have my hair styled the same way but without the fringe. I used to sellotape the sides under my chin to keep the shape overnight lol
