Strange that there's a pub called 'Sir Walter Tyrell' in the New Rorest, but not one called 'William Rufus'.
Only a stone to Rufus.

Ah well at that time it wasn't the New Forest it was just a forest and there would be stumps as they'd cut down trees to use them silly :-P :-D

Wonder how many Adders got up the togas though :-)

Sharron Report 10 May 2018 13:40

Is London new?

Dermot

Dermot Report 10 May 2018 12:38

That's stumped me!

Allan

Allan Report 10 May 2018 12:14

If the forest was New, there would be no stumps :-P :-D :-D

Dermot

Dermot Report 10 May 2018 12:13

Plenty of stabbings & other life-threatening incidents in London recently, keeping the Police fully employed.

Caroline

Caroline Report 10 May 2018 12:10

There were plenty of Romans roaming through the New Forest not sure how many stabbed who anywhere though. You could say we're stumped.

Sharron

Sharron Report 10 May 2018 10:38

It was new when William Brutus was there.

Dermot

Dermot Report 10 May 2018 10:35

The New Forest must be very old by now.

Sharron

Sharron Report 10 May 2018 10:18

Allan Report 10 May 2018 10:11

OH and I were multi-tasking the other day.Well,we were watching Countdown while we ate our tea which is multi-tasking enough for me but he does it all the time. He is usually following a football match on his tablet while the television is on in front of him.Of course, this means he never quite takes in the whole point at any time.

This, I think,is why he gave this answer to one of the questions on Countdown. There was a question about members of different royal houses and he said "William Brutus, you know, the one in the New Forest".

Why you no listen cooky boy?!
