Help..... my laptop works ok on WI/FI, from my hub. My printer prints ok, but, unable to print from my printer off my laptop. Any body know what has gone wrong Thanks

Have you connected the printer to the lap top

My printer is connected to my old tower pc via a USB cable as the pc is to old to pick up the printer by wireless connection

The lap top though has windows 10 on it and has wifi connection so it's connected to the router and wirelessly to the printer

My iPad too is connected to the printer

are you trying to wi fi the printer? does it print using a usb cable?

I have a Hp all in one, and found that the wifi name for the printer, is different from when using a cable..

if it's like my network, the lappie talks to the router, then the router talks to the printer

I mistakenly thought the lappie spoke directly to the printer....

Haven't tried using a usb cable, the wifi printer has been working fine from my laptop. The last time I printed something off was an attachment from a e.mail from France. The printer,s fine as it prints when I print off from my camera but not from my laptop via WI/FI.

I guessed I pressed the wrong at some time, I took the laptop back to the shop and one setting was wrong, so put that wright and said it would work but, back home still unable to print via WI/FI.

The Win10 operating system will not operate some pieces of hardware.
MS won't help but the printers manufacture might provide a link.
Check on the HP site.

Thanks for you replies, just had another go but no luck. I'LL look for a usb lead later to try. if not i'll have to call an engineer

I had same problem, hadn't thought about downloading all updates for the printer, drivers were out of date....dohhh now works ok
