Allan, if your OH knew what you were saying you'd be kicking the bucket :-D

Allan

Allan Report 13 Jun 2018 23:58

Actually all that was required was a bit more steam so I got OH to carry two buckets of coal at a time rather than one :-D :-D

:-D :-D

:-P :-P I sent a massive missive to GR and this morning all appears to be in perfect working order as the Scotsman replied when asked if anything was worn under his kilt ;-) :-D :-D

See...told you....next time kick the bloody screen forget fast forwarding.....

Allan

Allan Report 13 Jun 2018 12:16

OK, for two glorious days I was error free :-0

Now the bl**dy site is back to its %^&*#$@ hapless self :-| :-| :-|

Allan

Allan Report 13 Jun 2018 11:02

Shirley, I've just sent a pm to Kense who is also still getting the error message when using the advanced search function.

The error messages I was receiving did not appear to be caused by the same glitch affecting some others.

All I do know, and can comment on, is that my particular problem seems to have been solved for the moment, and I can now post on all threads, even those with thousands of posts, without a problem :-D

I still get the dreaded error page constantly so it's not been fixed :-(

My apologies, Maggie, I now realise the origin of the question you posed re wrinkly old f*rts.

Unlike the phantom RR'r, I find it very hard to monitor all posts across the boards.

I have only just caught up on Dermot's 'Brainwashing' Thread

I'm ashamed to admit that the last time I underwent a brainwashing therapy, said organ was taken out to dry and they forgot to re-insert it

;-) :-D :-D

O'er, Kathryn, I know not to what you allude. :-0

Mine's still working but sometimes the vertical hold slips and my horizontal hold is something to behold in the mirror ;-)

With my new gizmo I have decided to increase my external storage from 10 giganiggles to 5 terramoans by installing a mark 10 bath in the downstairs loo.

OH was livid about the cost (hence the increase from niggles to moans), but as I reasonably pointed out to her, the distance she would need to carry the buckets of coal had decreased resulting in a faster operating time :-D :-D

Kense

Kense Report 13 Jun 2018 09:59

Still get the error if I try to use advanced search.

Just thought I would try to see if they had fixed that.

Kathryn

Kathryn Report 13 Jun 2018 09:25

Don't stop fiddling with it Allan, it works a treat ;-)

Kense

Kense Report 13 Jun 2018 08:42

Thank you for that information on the errors, Allan. I wouldn't have known they had fixed anything otherwise. Now I can get to page 2000 on the big threads in the blink of an eye.

Allan

Allan Report 13 Jun 2018 01:23

Yes, and what a shock! :-0

I just managed to pause myself before I fell into my own grave :-P :-D :-D :-D

The only problem with the new boiler is that I have to reintroduce that fine old Northern tradition of keeping the coal in the bath ;-)

OH wasn't too pleased as we have a shower over the bath, but as I logically pointed out, it is now winter in OZ so who needs a shower :-D :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 13 Jun 2018 00:59

My relatives used to be old f*rts :-D

You two are a riot.

But Allan please tell did you really not fast forward?

Allan

Allan Report 13 Jun 2018 00:28

There was nothing wrong with mine, but the Lancashire G7 boiler with steam app had just been released (or perhaps it escaped) and I just had to be the first one to own the beastie ;-) :-D :-D :-D

Nothing wrong with a Cornish Boiler - my avatar is proof!

Allan

Allan Report 13 Jun 2018 00:21

I don't have the answer to that one, Maggie, but I do know that one is never alone with a clone.

Perhaps some of the new gizmos have such a feature where by simply pressing a button you can churn out carbon copies of yourself willy-nilly ,( or even willy- plussy if you so desire) ;-)

A bit like photocopying your own backside at office parties in a by-gone era :-D :-D :-D

maggiewinchester

maggiewinchester Report 13 Jun 2018 00:13

It worked then?
Even for us wrinkly old f*rts (as opposed to the 'trendy' old f*arts)?
Do you think 'trendy' old f*rts have wrinkles, or just a smooth plasticised photocopied exterior, with a rankled, withered interior?

Allan

Allan Report 13 Jun 2018 00:10

Oh, and installed a new power supply!

I replaced my old single pass Cornish boiler with a three pass Lancashire boiler to take advantage of the lower cost of coking coal ;-) :-D :-D
