Thank you everyone - that was a surprise :-D

Mind you, our Golden Wedding has come as a surprise - where did those years go?

Yes, we are renewing our vows this afternoon and, as it is an open invitation to all, I have no idea who will turn up apart from family and close friends. Just hoping and praying that OH will be okay and enjoy the day too. The clergy friend who is leading the worship is very good and will be keeping a watchful eye on OH to make sure he is coping.

I admit to getting quite excited about the whole thing...... :-D

Many thanks to you all for your good wishes. We are now trying to get back to some sort of 'normality'.

People who go to church, may be laughed at or thought to be a bit 'odd', and I myself, have received a fair amount of 'stick' on here over the years. Well, if being 'odd' is anything to go by - then I am quite happy to know some very 'odd' people.

We can't thank the folk at our church enough for all that they did to help us to celebrate our Golden Wedding. They were all amazing - we have been so grateful for the love and support shown to us which has made the day so very special.

Many of our family travelled up from 'down south' and they have all expressed their admiration for the way the church folk arranged so much for us and for the friendliness shown to them. Well, that's Northerners for you :-D
