Recd an email from Microsoft.com account team with above heading.

Update and verify your email to avoid closure immediately, your email has been included in the blacklist marked as an automatic spam sender so it will need to be updated and verified otherwise it will be permanently closed click on the button below to update and verify to show you are a human being and not a robot and continue using your account.

Can anyone advise me is this a scam, I am not computer savvy.

Thank you

If that is a straight copy and paste, then its a scam.

...it will be permanently closed click on the button below...... no full stop after closed.
The grammar is slightly 'off'.

If you're using a PC or laptop, hover your cursor over the button they mention. There should be an address shown, possibly at the left bottom of your screen.

Seems to be a variation of the Hotmail scam

Microsoft has a green shield on the sender's name.

eg Microsoft ([email protected] [then a green coloured shield]

This indicates that the email is coming from Microsoft / legit sender

*** IF ever in doubt please check your email to see if the green shield is there. ***

Tinyurl leads to a reply on https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com. The latter url is shortened so won't work.
