Thanks Sylvia. It has puzzled me how to get 2 trees on GR without it costing more, so now I know what to do. :-)

Annx ..............

No, you cannot have more than 1 tree on an account.

Each additional tree that you want to have on site requires a new membership, but you can take out FREE membership with GR.

Each account requires a different password, and it seems we are unsure as to whether you also need a different email address for each or whether you can use one email address for all. If different email addresses are needed, then use te free sites, such as Gmail

You need a paid subscription to see the records, to post on the Boards, or to contact members re any connections you might have.

You do NOT need to pay for 2 subscriptions ..................

In fact I truly believe that about 90% of the members on GR records do not have paid subscriptions! The site started as a free site back in 2002/3, and there is still that option. I joined in 2004 and the choice then was a Free membership or £5 for a paid membership.

Plus any member who does not pay a renewal is just moved to the Free category by GR, they do not delete any members except in a few very exceptional cases where site rules have been flouted. Only members can delete their trees and remove themselves from the site.

So can you have more than one tree on the same account and if you can't and need to have 2 accounts do you have to pay 2 subscriptions?

If you do need a separate email address, take out one of the free ones.

I use gmail

You can have two accounts same email account
and pay with the same credit / bank card :-D :-D

But you will have to have two separate passwords
or Make one a free account

Yes but I think they have to be different email ads now. You only need one paid for account though if you want to contact other members, look at records and post on the boards.
