Apparently its from South Sudan :-S
Perhaps its one Machine, for a better word, automatically dialing another?

On the other hand, the error in dialing might have averted an explosion somewhere in the world! You can imagine a terrorist sitting in their darkened room, scratching their heads, wondering why there hadn't been a big bang :-D

Apparently a lot of people are getting these calls at night from South Sudan numbers. It’s likely to be some sort of scam but it’s not clear what the scam is. Will your phone system let you block the number?

Or you could just keep dreaming of your secret admirer :-D

Can you not switch your phone off?

Kucinta Report 14 Nov 2018 11:19

Maybe curiosity is meant to make you return the call to find out who it is that's ringing you, and then the phone call costs you a fortune?

Caroline Report 14 Nov 2018 11:30

I think Kucinta is right, you're meant to get annoyed/curious and phone them back then it'll cost you a small fortune as it's a premium line.
Don't call back you should be able to block the number but they might call on another one.

If the recent calls are during the night, why not (as suggested) turn it off or set to mute? Don’t you have a land-line?

set up a white list
this is how to do it with Samsung but it is much the same with any Android or Apple phone.
