Naa. he's too much of a softie to repeat what I said..
If anyone's to be 'beaten up' - it's George.
Sometimes (quite often) he insists I open the door for him (rather than use the catflap). because when I do this,I growl and snarl.
Goodness knows what the neighbours think.
Actually - I don't care

Maybe in an alleyway with the other cats one night......

maggiewinchester Report 31 Dec 2018 00:50

Caroline, I encouraged him to stop - before the act had actually started - with no violence, just a few well-placed words not used in polite society, and a slight - though gentle - nudge.
He didn't even fall into the bath, he walked along the side of the bath with the encouragement of the diversity of the English language, :-D :-D :-D

He still loves and trusts me, but may have learnt some 'new' words.
Words I know, as a cat, he will never repeat. :-D :-D :-D

Will this thread be open when I awake tomorrow.....I might not sleep with the excitement....

Dermot- did you donate your combs or your ferrets to Donald Trump's stylist?
It's an easy mistake :-D :-D :-D

maggiewinchester Report 30 Dec 2018 23:37

Sooooo it's not your cat Kense, so it CAN look like it's washing it's nether regions :-D
Even if it was the right side up, i think I'd think the same.
Could be because one of my cats is black and I sometimes wonder what he's up to.

The other day, whilst occupied in the bathroom, George (my black cat) ambled along the side of the bath, did a lovely 'ballet' pose with his left back foot raised and bent in an elegant way. I thought 'how cute'.
Then his tail started quivering, and I realised the bar steward was spraying the shower curtain!!

He soon stopped :-|

Here's a thought ....if people think Blonds are dumb....apologies to any blonds...how dumb are people that dye their hair blond???

Caroline

Caroline Report 30 Dec 2018 14:06

Only fools suffer fools gladly......unexpected??

Dermot

Dermot Report 30 Dec 2018 12:48

Intolerant reaction to alternative opinions should have no place amongst GR's increasingly secular contributors.

Intolerance should not be tolerated - I think! Let's all speak up & occasionally say something refreshingly unexpected.

Kense

Kense Report 30 Dec 2018 12:29

Maggie, the photo is actually upside down. I seem to remember another thread where someone had a problem with the avatar being displayed upside down, but in this case it didn't seem to matter much, so I haven't bothered investigating.

The cat is not ours but often appears and after a nose around the house, it has a sleep until it is time to go home for its dinner..

Caroline

Caroline Report 30 Dec 2018 12:03

Like I've said GR can't have the rules they already have because they don't follow them....they should only remove comments IF they are offensive and after explaining why it's offensive......usually they just hit the delete button as it's quicker :-)

Well Allan it's for us to all carry on regardless :-D :-D

Allan

Allan Report 30 Dec 2018 12:00

My prediction for 2019;

Puritanism, under the direction of Big Brother, will intrude even further into the lives of GR posters.

Except, we have no flaming idea of which newspeak is acceptable nor which will incur the wroth of s/he who reports.

When there are no rules, make your own up and change them at will :-P

Caroline

Caroline Report 30 Dec 2018 11:43

Will you lot behave :-D :-D
Obviously, the poor RR will be upset by all this chit-chat about cats licking parts unmentioned and using words we all need to Google.....are they not suffering enough they have to wait until tomorrow to see whether their cunning plan has worked and the thread is removed.....the stress and anxiety is surely enough for them?? :-D

Then again if they live up to their norm this will be gone this time tomorrow so what the heck......go for it....

Allan

Allan Report 30 Dec 2018 11:23

My apologies, Kense, I can, at times be very slow on the uptake.

I now know where you were coming from :-D

I just hope that the RR'r knows what the word homograph means ;-)

maggiewinchester

maggiewinchester Report 30 Dec 2018 10:11

Kense, you know how there's a picture of a black cat that looks like a crow?

When I first looked at your lovely avatar, I thought your cat was washing their you-know-whats!
Initially, I thought it's ear was that bit sticking out by it's tail, then I realised it's ear was further down :-D :-D :-D

Just goes to show how pictures can be mis-read, the same as words. :-D :-D
