The Duke of Edinburgh has "voluntarily" surrendered his driving licence, Buckingham Palace has said.

Family pressure and not a sole decision or maybe the insurance Co gave him a Too at Risk rating,,,,,,?
;-) :-D :-D.

By surrendering his licence
He may have escaped prosecution for the recent accident
To be honest
I think Lizzie has put her foot down :-D :-D :-D

As for insurance the Queen covers all the Royal cars
As does the Royal mail They have their own insurance

As we found out when one of their Royal mail Vans wiped out our car
All done and dusted paid out within 7 days :-D

It is not uncommon for the Police to suggest a driver voluntarily forfiets his Driving Licence if he/she is at fault in an accident, when the driver is elderly and the accident not serious, and they will waive prosecuting,I assume the other driver has to agree though?

Two of our local residents have had this happen recently
