My littlest (who works for the Environment Agency) has just won an award at the Institute of Water.
She Project Managed the whole thing, about water efficiency and rivers - even when on maternity leave - then came back to present it.

Seems so, even as a 'single mother' (divorcee actually - but the media love a stereotype) in me caarncil 'ouse!
T'other girl is a health visitor/nurse /breastfeeding counsellor/anything else they can foist upon her/ for newborn babies and mothers.
I'm very proud of my girls - as is their father - we were texting about N's achievement this evening - and our children's children have great potential!

How many 3 year olds have you heard explaining (after 'studying' the dog from a distance) to a 78 year old man the 'appendage' difference between his (female) dog and him - using the 'correct' words! :-S :-D

Quite right to be so proud of your girls, they're doing great.

My daughter was about 3 when a neighbour came to me with great concern because she had overheard daughter talking about their dog's male appendage using the correct terms

Her granddaughter was 6 months older than my girl and did not know the words.

Great when your 'kids' do well, isn't it folks? Even better when you see the potential in their children too.

I haven't had that pleasure yet but my son has finally found his niche, workwise, and I hope will start a family with his fiancée, who is also doing well at her recently found job.

Her son starts senior school this September, and is a bright lad so I am sure he will do well.
