Supt Hastings was most unwise to go to that club amid the villains
and the stolen stuff. Going to take a good story line to allow him to
talk his way out of that.

new bottles old wine

Bonnie and Clyde were pretty lookin' people
But I can tell you people They were the devil's children,
Bonnie and Clyde began their evil doin'
One lazy afternoon down Savannah way,
They robbed a store, and high-tailed outa that town
Got clean away in a stolen car,
And waited till the heat died down,
Bonnie and Clyde advanced their reputation
And made the graduation
Into the banking business.
"Reach for the sky" sweet-talking Clyde would holler
As Bonnie loaded dollars in the dewlap (burlap) bag,

Now one brave man-he tried to take 'em alone
They left him Iyin' in a pool of blood,
And laughed about it all the way home.

Bonnie and Clyde got to be public enemy number one
Running and hiding from ev'ry American lawman's gun.
They used to laugh about dyin',
But deep inside 'em they knew
That pretty soon they'd be lyin'
Beneath the ground together
Pushing up daisies to welcome the sun
And the morning dew.
Acting upon reliable information
A fed'ral deputation laid a deadly ambush.
When Bonnie and Clyde came walking in the sunshine
A half a dozen carbines opened up on them.
Bonnie and Clyde, they lived a lot together
And finally together they died,

I believe DS Corbett had his throat cut David. Lisa then turned and got upset.
So we will see what happens tonight.

David

David Report 28 Apr 2019 18:59

The corrupt Detective who was going soft shot DS Corbett in the

head calling him a rat. There is no honour among thieves.

The temptation to become a corrupt officer must be very strong.

Was truly saddened by the brutality inflicted on Supt Ted's wife :-0 :-(

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 24 Apr 2019 19:50

There was a theory in one of the papers today.

H is neither man or woman. It may be something to do with the Northern Ireland connection, H Block.

Also Anna Maxwell Martin is joining the cast as the Chief of Anti Corruption.

The more we learn, the less we know!

Madge

Madge Report 22 Apr 2019 18:23

Part of me is thinking Hastings is H , the way he took over on the commuication with H. He was saying to much surely Lisa and John would of smelt a rat and I think Lisa did and the it was a crptic message to her to finish John off as Hastings was keen to do it earlier. Now the Northern Ireland connection. .........

MotownGal Report 22 Apr 2019 10:48

I still think we are being led along a blind alley, I don't think Hastings is H.

Gill tried to seduce Ted before in Series 3, and he called for her resignation, so what she is doing back again, I do not know.

Still don't know what Ted said to Lee Miller in jail, I think we are being led to believe Lee Miller passed on info to Lisa and gang, and that is what resulted in John being murdered.

What also convinces me that is ISNT Ted, is the fact that Series 6 has been commissioned. :-D

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 22 Apr 2019 10:19

Surely H ISN'T Hastings :-0 I think Ted is doing some undercover work himself :-0

I too think Lisa is a copper. In the first episode she couldn't kill off that policewoman and was seen crying in a toilet. Also, Steve & Kate were surprised when the undercover copper turned out to be a man ie John think they thought it was a woman too :-0

The person I don't like is that woman, Gill, who was in the hotel room with Ted when his wife was attacked......could she be H? Afterall, all communication is by that computer and we never hear H speak, could H be a female? :-0

The plot thickens....... :-D

MotownGal Report 22 Apr 2019 08:30

Another rollercoaster of an episode!

Sadly it looks as if it may be Hasting who is H. Did anyone else spot the spelling mistake? When Corbett was 'talking' to H via the computer, the word definitely was spelled definately. Then when Hasting took over the hacked computer, he spelled it the same.

Jed Mercurio certainly keeps it going, who would have thought that Corbett would be killed off in the third episode.

I still think that Lisa could also be an undercover cop, but from a different branch of the force.

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 15 Apr 2019 08:25

Well that was another hour of twists and turns.

I said Hargreaves might be mixed up in something. Now he is out of the picture.

Pity Corbett has gone rogue. Don't much fancy Mrs Hasting's chances if he is convinced Ted is H.

David

David Report 13 Apr 2019 10:50

Thank you Motowngirl. I obviously don't know the difference between a fatality and a
casualty, my error.
DI Matthew Cottan was a sinister character throughout.
LOD was filmed in Belfast.

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 12 Apr 2019 19:23

Let me put my LOD anorak on, and please, anyone feel free to correct me if I have got it wrong.

The young detective who was pushed out of the window was DC Georgina Trotman (Jessica Raines)

Arnott in Series 5 could be told there were no casualties, because they were all dead.

In Series 3 the Vice Chief Superintendant Fairbanks (George Costigan) was the corrupt officer abusing boys. Arnott thought that Hastings may be assisting him to avoid arrest, after Arnott spotted Fairbanks and Hastings shared a Masonic handshake. Hastings arrested Fairbanks on the bowling green.

DI Matthew (Dot) Cottan was The Caddy. He shot Lindsay Denton (Keeley Hawes) in the head in Series 3. She had discovered his and his fellow corrupt officers and had to be kept quiet. DI Kate Fleming took his dying statement after a chase, and it was then we first heard the character H.

I think Jed Mercurio is a clever writer, things are never as they seem. It niggles me slightly when they say LOD by the writer of Bodyguard. LOD came first.
