Nice that, and uplifting; makes you want to dance on the spot.

Translate, please, Rollo, it's getting towards 60 years since I left school. :-S

Latin Mass Society of Ireland Annual Visit to Knock, Co Mayo 2018.

On the 1st Saturday of October at 3:00pm, the Latin Mass Society of Ireland held their annual Knock Mass in the Parish Church at Knock Shrine. The Mass was celebrated by newly ordained Canon Benjamin Norman of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest.

Ah yes! The good old days when young Mass servers were taught parrot-fashion how to respond in Latin to the celebrating Priest. The rest of the passive head-bowing congregation sat or knelt prayerfully during most of the service. The only noise expected from them was the sound of coins being dropped into the tin collection plate.

More recently, youngsters (male) are being taught how to react to the good-for-nothing miserable miscreant celebrants who may have other things on their mind. The wearing of strong hobnail boots, which are useful in testing the Priest's tender ankles, is highly recommended - despite the fact that the said items are way out of current fashion.

Better safe than sorry! :-P
