Please can someone tell me how I get help with my account?
I have just renewed my Standard Subscription and have not been credited the 50 free credits.
Thankyou

I think the 50 credits only applies for the first year, so you don't get them on renewal.

I agree

I think it is a "gift" for new members.

I think you must get them more than once because I have 100 credits in my account and I haven't actually bought any so I can only think I got them last year and again this year - although I thought they expired after so long?? I never use them anyway as I use my Findmypast subscription.

I haven’t had any credits since 2013

None given at each subs renewal

I got 30 in 2011 that seemed to had been carried over and then lost because not used

I have never received 50 credits but checking my record I apparently had 30 in 2010 and 30 in 2011. As I only use GR for the boards and not for research I’m not bothered about credits but I will be renewing this afternoon so I’ll be interested to see if I get any.

Oh really????
I've never purchased any credits. If they were freebies why wasn't I informed? :-0

I seem to remember that some years ago we got some freebie credits because there had been technical problems with the site ........ of course that was well before FMP started taking over.

SuffolkVera

SuffolkVera Report 7 Nov 2019 21:05

I think you are right Sylvia. I do have a vague recollection of everyone getting a few free credits because there had been problems with the site and did we also get some several years ago for checking out a new site design and giving feedback?

I have now renewed and there is no sign of 50 free credits coming my way. I think they are just for first time subscribers but that isn't clearly stated.

I've just checked my "credit purchase history"

Like Island, I've never purchased any, but I do remember being given some because of suffering through that technical problem, and (yes, Vera) some people did get some free credits for that testing. Those who helped on the WDYTYA thread also got some credits, if I remember correctly. Or was that a month free???

My credit history looks similar to Island's ...... and I love the expiry date for the bottom couple :-D They expired 11 years before they were given :-D

I think that all but the top one were mistakes by GR ............. credited and then removed almost immediately
