Depending on the store the co-op marks fresh bakery down from between 5 and 7pm to closing by around 80%.

Sadly, a lot of Tesco own brand is not very good. Their pickled onions are awful.

The Co-op are generally pretty good on bakery.

If you gently just roll your Crumpets with rolling pin they will fit in toaster :-)

Rollo, I have bought Warbutons crumpets only to get home and find they don't fit in my little basic 2 slice toaster. They are not on offer up here either and are more than the coops own.

I liked the look of the star crumpets but to nearly double the price is something else. When people realise that im sure they wont rush to buy them.

I have been to the rival supermarket "T" but their own brand are awful, have to say a no no.

A rellie is a co-op manager. She says that Warburton crumpets are currently on offer ( down south ) at 65p. I can recommend them toasted with lashings of pure butter and strawberry jam . mmm.

I use a Dualit toaster and they fit ok.

Thanks for that Kathleen but oh my the price!!!! Ordinary crumpets are 69p for 6.
Whilst they look lovely, im not paying double for a star instead of a circle. What a huge xmas rip off.

But it explains whilst the normal ones are out of stock.

Have a look at the link below. It seems the Co-op have launched a star shaped crumpet for Christmas so maybe they have run down production of the normal crumpets in order to produce these.

I have been trying to get coop crumpets for a few weeks and they have none. I asked staff why but they cant say.
Does anyone use a coop and buy their own crumpets?

Does anyone know why they have disappeared from the shelves. I have bought another brand but they are too thick to go in my toaster!
