I think now it's New Year we all should send GR/GC an email to say how annoyed we are for their forgetfulness in putting the baubles up.

Happy New Year to Everyone, <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

:-D :-D :-D@Caroline. Remember "Get it out in the open! I know I do!

Pat, GRs last post on FB was 2016! The ones in the cupboard, sorry office, are a joke - is it one person sat in their bedroom using different names to make them look like 'staff'? Bring back Estelle and Phil!

Genes Reunited is one of the UK’s largest family history websites and currently has over 13 million members worldwide.

Their Twitter heading - they have not posted since 2016

says it all really

can't be bothered set in a long time ago.

PS Just seen a Tweet from FMP wishing members a happy New Year ;-)

Austerity? How much does it cost to copy & paste baubles?
We pay to use this site. :-|

Island

Island Report 31 Dec 2019 21:45

I wonder if they'll remember to change the year? :-0

Just joking folks :-D

Kense

Kense Report 31 Dec 2019 21:04

No Joy, it is still part of the DC Thomson empire through Findmypast Limited. I don't think Findmypast or Ancestry have any baubles displayed. So maybe it's just austerity.

They explained it was our fault we forgot to remind them in time!

Ron2 Report 31 Dec 2019 20:23

Think this site will go the way of Friends Reunited - hence no baubles or tis a PC thing

Just a thought .....

Has ownership changed and does the owner's/owners' religion frown upon he/she/them celebrating Christmas?

Perhaps that's the reason?

If not, it's a strange situation but even if so, it is still strange as it doesn't seem to affect retail outlets anywhere.
