Definitely Von. In the village I grew up in everyone was connected to everyone else at one time.

I sometimes spend hours on checking when a lot come through and that's about to happen. Cheap DNA kits from November to Christmas will start coming through. Last year I had over 300 in 2 months :-S

That is the only problem with Ancestry is that you can't add a DNA test to it from another Company :-(

In small Welsh villages it's possible for you all to be related ;-) ;-) ;-)

Also shared matches is handy to have some idea what branch of your ancestors they are linked to.

I compare mine and GD1's to see who is my side and who could be OH's or her Dad's side

On 23andMe I can choose newest as well and do a 1 to 1 test. If I have several all from the same family I can test them all together to see where we all meet :-D

Have you all noticed the different functions on the DNA lists. Like chosing the latest Test Matches first instead of their closeness to you. That's handy if you keep looking at it everyday

Or the Shared Ancestors button is good too
