I agree Kay :-(

I don't think anyone particularly stood out for me. I suppose if I had voted it would have been for the two Tangos. :-D. Both being very strong performances for different reasons.

HRVY because he had to lead and take control.....he has such a straight back :-D

Ranvir's dance was just so steamy :-0 :-0 :-)

Both dances I thought were well choreographed :-)

I"m not a fan of Street Dance but Jamie did do well. It will be interesting to see how he gets on when he has to hold and lead his partner though:-0

Craig seems to have mellowed too much :-( Shirley & Anton are like a double act :-(

Sadly, after last week, I thought Clara's dance wasn't very good :-(.

Although entertaining I didn't think there was very much Cha Cha in Caroline's Dance so I think Caroline will be in the Dance Off with Clara, with sadly Clara to go :-(

I thought tonights Strictly was poor overall. There were a few who danced well but they must have been downhearted they weren't in the real Blackpool! For the first time ever I thought Aljias didn't dance very well, and he's usually brilliant. (I know he's not the dancer who matters but I still notice how the pros perform as well)

I haven't got a clue who'll be in the bottom two.

I'm pleased to hear that MotownGal. It does seem such a shame they had to drop out, but at least they've got something to look forward to.

Latest news on Katya and Nicola, they will take part in the final show next month when they are no longer in isolation.

That megawatt smile will return. :-D <3

I found this
Strictly Come Dancing' contestant Bill Bailey already knows how to foxtrot and waltz, because he had ballroom dancing lessons as a teenager. ... The 55-year-old comedian learned how to waltz, foxtrot and quickstep when he was a youngster, as he grew up with a dance studio across the road.

Well, I did some ballroom dancing lessons as a teenager, but I wouldn’t say that would have helped me much!. Caroline did lots of ballet lessons as well, but again as a teenager

I agree, AnnG & Linda about Maise....I think after the first few weeks she might have thought it was a ' done deal' :-0 Complacency is never a good thing in a competition like Strictly :-(

I haven't seen anything about Bill's previous dancing experience :-0

With a competition like Strictly you have to be seen as a good all rounder....one bad week and you're out :-0

True Linda I read somewhere that Bill had been trained in latin and ballroom, anyone else seen that?

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 16 Nov 2020 08:05

There is also a bit if public backlash against Maisie because she went to stage school, so has had lots of dance training in the past, though not in ballroom of course.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 16 Nov 2020 07:44

It usually happens at about this time that a 'good' couple are in the dance off because the public keep somebody in for reasons other than good dancing. It won't, I am sure' have done Maisie any harm, she is young and self assured, she may have thought she would not be in the dance off. Now she knows that she can be she will try even harder.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 16 Nov 2020 06:44

Bet Maise was surprised to find herself in the Dance Off especially as she said she liked Latin :-0. Just proves you can't take anything for granted on Strictly :-0

I did feel sorry for Max....out of the two I think he had the more difficult dance mainly because he was a complete novice going into the competition and he had to lead and he had the lifts :-). That's why I think Shirley said she would have chosen him :-). Max came across as a really genuine nice guy <3

JJ looked really shocked that he got through but I'm pleased he did :-)

Onto next week :-D

LondonBelle Report 15 Nov 2020 10:12

Thanks for that, Linda....that answers my query :-)

Don’t forget that the series is shorter this year.

I copied this from elsewhere, it was written after Nicola and Katya pulled out

Due to their withdrawal there will be one less couple in the final at the end of the series however it is likely that this is why there were extra couples in the series and The BBC were originally planning for a 5 couple final if there were no incidents like this however due to this withdrawal the final will feature 4 couples assuming no one else has to withdraw.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 15 Nov 2020 09:55

I agree, AnnG....it would be good to give them both another week to see whether they can improve any further :-)

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 15 Nov 2020 09:50

Two in the final would be very strange. It would be better to save them both though.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 15 Nov 2020 09:48

I've just thought Strictly are already one couple down with Nicola & Katya having to withdraw from the competition, so will The Judges save both of the dance off couples this evening :-S :-D

If they don't do something they won't have enough couples for the remaining episodes :-0

Or will they just have two couples in the Final rather than three :-S :-D

I think that JJ did as well as he good with the jive given his physical limitations. Although he was the bottom of the leaderboard, I think that the public will vote for him and save him.
I think Max will be the one to go, but I don’t know who will be in the dance off with him, maybe either Caroline or Maisie

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 15 Nov 2020 08:35

I thoroughly enjoyed it too!

I think Anton gave a good performance as judge, it was if Len was back. Very encouraging to the dancers.. Also, have you noticed that the singers are not introduced individually like they used to be?

I think maybe JJ and Caroline for the dance off.

Bill again, what a performer. I had no idea he could dance like that.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 15 Nov 2020 08:23

Loved the show, I do like JJ mainly for his 'can do' spirit, but Unfortunately this is a dance competition, and I am not sure having Prince Harry on will have increased his votes. So yes, dance off probably between JJ and Max, a great shame because they both seem to be trying so hard.

I thought Anton was nervous at first but once he found his feet he was a good judge and gave very good feed back. I thought at the beginning Craig had reverted to his nasty persona but as Bell says he did mellow halfway through. Maybe in the beginning he was being the Alpha male.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 15 Nov 2020 05:31

Well, it was all change this week :-0

Those at the top last week are near the bottom this week and vice versa :-0

I liked Clara, Jamie and HRVY this week :-D. I do like a good Charleston :-D

Sadly, I think Max (who is full of nerves) and JJ ( who had to overcome his disabilities) will be in the dance off :-(. JJ did very well with his Jive given the physical issues he has had/has. With regards to Max, I think it is very difficult for the males as they have to be seen to be leading with dances like the American Smooth and can appear to be very novicy compared to those males whose dances don't require that same physical contact; that's what happened to Max last night. All in all, I think Max to go :-(

I thought Craig mellowed half way through the show....not sure whether it was Anton's influence or whether it was because that's where the better dancers were but he was definitely less critical and more encouraging:-0

As usual I thought the orchestra and singers were exceptional as it can't be easy for them on a live programme with all the restrictions they are having to work in :-)

On the whole, another entertaining and enjoyable show :-D

Apparently Motsi's dance studio was broken into and the place smashed up.
