I used to play beat the train :-0 :-0 :-0
I shudder to think now, but I used to cross the line by my house to catch the train to school and often I was late and cross when it was coming in!

Oh gawd Island....don’t!

I was working nights in our hospital and had to go to A&E with pain in me eye...never again I hope :-(

We lived right next to the railway line too, when I was growing up. The house shook especially when the goods trains passed.
I went to school partially by train cos the roads to my village were to narrow for buses then.

My aunt and uncle used to meet the train and just talk to us before we carried on with

the journey. <3

I have a thing about steam trains....my Nan and grandad lived over the line...and when I used to go to bed at night...all the lights from the carriages used to dance around the bedroom walls :-D :-D
