It looks like, having closed down for a very long period of Rand R, Sharron is returning to the world.

The house has deteriorated before my very eyes since I lost the plot and I could not get my mind to contemplate doing anything about it. All too big and frightening!

Today, I said to OH that we would do two hours of dealing with it. We set the egg timer for an hour and then re-set it when it rang and we now have an immaculate quarter of a kitchen with everything washed and organized.

Tomorrow, we intend to do another two hours together.

Not only did we do that but I sent him out to pick elderflowers in next-doors garden to make cordial.

Oh bugger! She's back!

Not very romantic but he did his best to get me through my long, dark time.

Like the egg times approach. I used to set the oven timer for five minutes when I got in from work when first married more than fifty yeards ago. Its amazing what can be done in such a small amount of time when young and enthusiastic.

OH went shopping today and I had a bath so we only did an hour together but there is another clean, organized bit of kitchen.

Sounds like a sensible approach to a big task....I on the other hand am just too lazy to even set the timer....no medical reason just too lazy... :-)

After ten man-hours, we now have half a clean kitchen.

We thought we might do the bit between the kitchen and wet room next but not today because I really must cook something and the chard plants need going in.

I am pleased to have made a start.

Just need to keep up the momentum now.

I'm still at the stage of opening the spare room door - then closing it! :-D
I know how it COULD look, if all the dumped stuff (dumped as in shoved in there by removal men) was re-arranged, but I know some of it is too heavy for me to move on my own :-(
