We had to go to the doctor's surgery yesterday. It is in the village to the west. To get to it from our house, you can go south a bit and take the route through the back lane.

That was closed and we carried on by the end to the other route which is further north, otherwise it is quite a long detour, few miles, to the village to the north and, if you don't know that route, up to the town which is a long way.

We were not long in the surgery but long enough for there to have been an accident that closed the northern route though the village.

it was just as well we knew the route through the next village north.

No escape!

I only go when I am called and I would quite like to be able to see properly again, not that there is much to see round here.
