For many, many years I have searched for my cousin, Kenneth Foster, with the above name. Now some information has come to light which strongly suggests that his Christian names were, in fact, Kenneth Solomon Foster - aka as Kenny. Can anyone help with the 'new' name? As far as I know, Kenny may have lived in Cambridgeshire and died in 2009. Any info gratefully received.

Do you know where and when Kenneth was born. If you do you can use freebmd.org to check out if there was a second name, don’t enter the second name. It will also confirm his mother’s maiden name which may help you.

I've taken a quick look at deaths in Cambridge in 2009 for a Kenneth S Foster and there does not appear to be any.

However, I pursued the Solomon name which is not common and came across the following:

War death on 3 May 1917:

Cecil Thomas Foister,
son of Thomas Solomon Foister and Fanny Foister of
Goadby Marwood, Melton Mowbray.

Could it be Foister but pronounced Foster that you're searching for? Even so, there's no sign of a death for Kenneth S Foister in 2009 in Cambridge either.

Kenneth S Foster, born 1925, mother's maiden name Beer, Royston
The district Royston spans the boundaries of the counties of Cambridgeshire, Essex and Hertfordshire
Could this be him?

Alan needs to come back with some more information.. As Kenny is his cousin he should have some idea of when he was born and who Kennys mother was.
