Not sure a scammer can be prosecuted for swearing, though.
If it was a 'proper' service provider, then, yes.

Well in that case you can report that number to your provider and tell them the way they swore at you and see if they can find out who they are.
Totally out of order. i had one that swore at me once and i said i would report them and they shouted noooo before i then hung up!

Good idea, Florence.
It was to my mobile, so the number's there.
Apparently, a London number (so not a local 'firm'), and so far, not registered as a scammer!

Replying in the way I was spoken to,has alarmed many a teenager!
When they pointed out, that I had sworn at them, and would report me, I turned on them and said,
'I merely repeated what you said, are you admitting you SWORE at me?
I could report YOU. I wonder who they'd believe?'

A bit of their own medicine soon made them behave (with me, anyway) :-D

I've annoyed a scammer in less than 2 minutes!

Just had a call asking if I had any damp, mould, wet patches etc in my house.
I said, if I did I'd report them to my landlord.
He then says 'No, Ma'm', and repeats his question.
I then ask if he's asking on behalf of my landord, and if so, which one?
He replies,'I'm not asking about you f***** your landlord.....
I butt in - I'm not f****** my ;landlord, neither am I wasting my time speaking to a f****** scammer any longer.

He lost his rag quickly, didn't he! :-D :-D :-D
