These young uns get excited about Xmas earlier and earlier, don’t they Maggie! :-D

Tawny, you’ll be pleased to know that I have never been one to dampen spirits. I have already bought a few Xmas presents and all of my Xmas 2022 cards in the sale.

I guarantee that I am not alone in so doing. :-D

I'll let you off with the cards Joy as I always buy mine in the sales too, but as for presents already......noooooo.

We have stopped buying Christmas presents altogether. Everything is so commercialised these days and there is no one in my immediate family who needs presents (they are all in work or retired) so we decided a couple of years ago that cards would be all we send. It takes off so much pressure to find something that the recipient doesn't already have.

Joy, daughter and I bought loads of wrapping paper and cards in January sale too lol we have plenty to last a couple of years. Daughter always gets the bargains after xmas.In fact I think she has bought some presents as well.

I do buy throughout the year if I see things. When everyone else was panicking beg of December last year, I had everything wrapped and sent and just chilled.

I haven’t even started thinking about Christmas yet unless you count how to get last year’s Christmas presents to my friends. None of us live in the same town and the presents are fragile.

Florence, I have also bought all of the birthday cards for the year from a regular supplier of decent quality cards that I think are particularly nice. I have them stacked up in the right order to send! (I wonder if anyone else does that?)

‘Nothing quite like being organised, is there!’

Joy...how amazing. i do that too and have a card organizer with month dividers so each month in date order are the cards so never forget anyone.
Thought i was the only one who was that organised. Thats the banker in me lol

The cards I get from a well known company are also good quality and so much cheaper than the cards in the shops. Some I personalize with names for the younger ones too.

Still in work mode then, Florence.

Can’t help it, can we. ;-) :-D

From the age of 17, we were taught in the bank that filing to perfection and prioritising your daily post for your section was the most important job of all.So its still ingrained in me. Last year i bought a black 4 drawer steel filing cabinet which is all organised in every drawer with divider, labels for each section etc.It sits next to my computer desk and printer. Being in a work mode keeps me brain busy and occupied.

A tidy house is a tidy mind...think that's correct?

Well last year in October they said that turkeys might be scarce so i bought a large chicken and froze it.It's still in the freezer for the "just in case." lol
