What a shame that Tyler left, but yet again, someone has to go.

A few of the remaining contestants have had some dancing experience, either at stage school or actually taking part in shows.

The two young dancers will no doubt go on to greater things.

Kym Marsh has tested positive for Covid, and will not be appearing in the show this week.

However, she will be free to take part in the following week.

That will make it interesting for the dance off this week then :-0

See Oti will be returning next year <3 :-D

Let's hope she didn't pass it to anyone else. I wonder where she caught it? I guess they are out and about more as normal this time and not protected in bubbles. Hope she is not poorly with it, I know some people have been.

I suspect it may have been Blackpool, Ann.

Who knows who is coming into the audience, not everyone may do a test, if they think they have a cold.

Too much Blackpool rock ;-) :-0 :-0

Thank you George Formby. :-D :-D :-D ;-)

Just watching Will Mellor on Corrie, he is such a good actor it is difficult to believe it is the same person.

I think it's always a bit of an anti climax the week after Blackpool :-(

My favourites last night, in no particular order, were

Will. I think his Charleston was the best he has danced :-D

Molly. Loved her Tango but I found the clapping throughout rather annoying :-0

Fleur. Her Rumba was very intense and sexy, she looked very much the part.

I was disappointed with Hamza. I normally like a good Argentine Tango but I really don't think it was his dance. I agreed with Craig and Anton he had a body of two halves, the top half was great but the bottom half was lacking :-( I don't think his stature helped which is not something he could do anything about :-(

Helen's Samba wasn't a touch on Fleur's a couple of weeks ago :-(

Ellie's Jive danced about a month or so back would have got good marks but in Week 11 I don't think was good enough :-(. I think Ellie is much better when she dances ballroom and is in hold, she can be so elegant then :-)

So who's for the dance off? I think Ellie and Helen with Ellie to go:-(

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 27 Nov 2022 08:13

Well I missed the show, but caught up, and cut out all the guff. ;-)

Fleur's dance was definitely a bit saucy. :-)

Not over impressed with Will or Molly, maybe I was expecting too much.

Hamza, I agree with the judges, it was not fluid, and a bit stompy.

Sadly I think it will be between Ellie and Helen. It depends who is the more popular who will go through.

I wonder if the decision would have been affected if Kym had danced. We will never know.

I did the same as you MTG Was out in the evening, came in and just watched the dances, comments and marking. I really liked Will and Fleur and think the dance off will be as you both have said and Ellie is definitely not progressing as much as the others, she lacks something, not sure what. I like Hamza and think his stature was not good for that dance and it is always harder for the male to shine in that dance.

MotownGal Report 27 Nov 2022 19:03

Well that was an odds on certainty. Pitting Ellie against Fleur. I guess it makes it easier to disqualify someone.

I think Ellie was very gracious in her little speech to Johannes. They obviously had a terrific dancing relationship. You could see they laughed a lot.

Two words Tess was working overtime this week. Repeating the last two words the judges said.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 28 Nov 2022 07:16

As always such a shame to see someone go :-( Poor Ellie didn't stand a chance against Fleur who I have to say I was surprised was in the dance off :-0

Johannes is such a sweetie and he brought a tear to my eye too <3. From the clips of their training they certainly did seem to have a laugh and got on very well together :-D

I liked Ellie who has done very well especially as she had no previous dancing experience:-)

As you said earlier Maddie, I too wonder if it would have been different if Kym had been dancing this week.....I guess we'll never know :-0

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 28 Nov 2022 08:58

Except that it was Fleur against Ellie that was not really much of a surprise. she was very gracious in defeat but I guess she was not surprised either.
There was quite a bit of controversy on facebook or on line somewhere that I saw yesterday; about whether Kym should be allowed to have a free week (even though ill) at this stage in the competition. I think it was James Jordan and Ola saying that it disadvantages the remainder. unbalanced it and she should have resigned. I don't know if I agree with that or not.

Those remaining might be quite well matched now.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 28 Nov 2022 09:47

I think Kym can be very hit or miss......she is either exceptional or a disappointment but you don't know which Kym is going to turn up to dance. Unlike some of the others who are consistently very good :-)

It's a difficult question as to whether Kym should be allowed to continue :-0. Although I have to say that I feel that perhaps she shouldn't....I expect that the fact it is Covid might be the answer as to why she is. Of course, it remains to be seen as to whether she is fit enough to train and contest this week then what do they do :-0

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 28 Nov 2022 10:31

surprising that none of the other caught it I think.

Dont forget Strictly is on Friday this week.

Apparently there is some sort of sporting event going on. ;-) ;-)

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 2 Dec 2022 08:30

Strictly on tonight, dont forget.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 2 Dec 2022 11:01

Ooooo I did :-0 :-0. Thanks <3

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 3 Dec 2022 07:10

Well, didn't they all dance well :-0

It is going to be so difficult to split them. My favourite, not necessarily the best, was Kym dancing to Remember from Fame :-D. I think it's because it was such a show stealer when it first came out :-D. Kym did dance well with the professional dancers too :-D

I did like Molly's Charleston too :-D. Mainly because it was what I would call a true Charleston set in period :-D

It will be a shame to see any of then go at this stage of the competition :-0. But nobody was head and shoulders above the rest :-)

It will be interesting to see who is in the dance off cos I haven't a clue and I wouldn't like to be a Judge either :-0
