I agree it was a stonking show.

I loved Mollie and her Charleston, but I do love the show Chicago. Will was great, and Helen brought the house down.

On a purely personal level, and I know nothing, I think it may be Hamza and Kym in the dance off.

Yes a great show (didn't feel right being on a Friday though). I loved Will's dance and also Kym's and Helen's. But they are all very talented and are now really good dancers it is difficult to say who is best. Now down to the public, I do like Hamza but, against the others, his dance didn't have the 'wow' factor so I think he will be in the dance off but who with. It will be awful if it is fleur, because that will begin to look like some sort of prejudice as she is a great dancer but it has got to the point where we are going to lose somebody who is as good as the others and maybe even better.
It is on really early tonight for a Saturday evening. Blinkin' football!

LondonBelle Report 3 Dec 2022 09:26

Yes, I agree about Hamza :-(

But who else..... possibly Kym :-0

Then who do the Judges choose :-0. I think they would choose Hamza to stay if it was between them two :-)

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 3 Dec 2022 11:37

There might be people who don't like Helen, or maybe didn't like her dance.

MotownGal Report 3 Dec 2022 12:11

Only time will tell, I think it is on about 5.30 tonight. :-D :-D

Fairly predictable neither popular with the public

I was surprised that Molly was in the dance off :-0. As you say AnnG Molly can't be a public favourite, it was the 4th time she'd been in the dance off and she was top of the leader board too :-0. Doesn't bode well for her lifting the Glitterball :-0

Both did dance well but it was the right decision :-). I wonder whether Anton voted for Kym just so it wasn't a total whitewash :-0. At this stage of the competition you would expect both sets of dancers to be very good and they were:-)

So they have to do two dances next weekend which will be interesting :-). The 'live' show is on Sunday next week :-0 I'm already confused, I keep thinking today is Monday :-0

MotownGal Report 4 Dec 2022 08:36

I often think they pit a good dancer against another who is not so good to make it an easy vote. Molly should not have been in the dance off.

Yes two dances next week, so extra slog for the celebs.

I am not surprised that Kym went, she may have been voted off the previous week had she not been unwell. The standard is so high this year.

There has been speculation in some of the forums already who the winner will be.

How do we know how the voting goes? The numbers are never published.

I am sure this is the first time that I can remember the days being messed around. B football!! I did read somewhere a piece saying how annoying it was that they had chosen the world cup to be so late in the year.

Dont forget Strictly is on tonight. With the results tomorrow!

Confusing, innit? :-S

LondonBelle

Very, I'll think it's Saturday :-0

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 11 Dec 2022 10:01

yes very confusing. :-D

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 12 Dec 2022 07:15

Did Shirley have whatever Craig was on :-0. She was very critical yesterday :-0

Out of the five my favourites were, in no particular order,

Fleur, Molly & Hamza :-D

I thought Helen started her dances well but as they went on they became more raggedly :-)

I didn't like Will's Paso at all and as for her Couples Choice he looked a bit like mutton dressed up as lamb :-0

So for me Helen and Will should be in the dance off with Will, sadly, to leave :-(

MotownGal Report 12 Dec 2022 07:53

I am afraid I thought it was a bit of a rag-bag show.

In all cases, I liked one of the contestants dance, but not the other.

Funny to see Bez in the audience. Will did his homage to him!

I am also tiring of the boo-ing when the judge gives their opinion. Who is the expert, the judge or the audience?

Also the constant whooping in the part with Claudia, and the hogging of the camera.

Maybe I just want to see the dancing, and cut out all the guff.

Who will go? No idea! :-S

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 12 Dec 2022 08:46

Maybe because it was on the wrong night :-S But I was not impressed really with the show, considering it was the semi final, the scores were more for a halfway through show. And, the Paso is probably my least favourite dance and we had three to watch. I thought Helen had a good go at the Argentine Tango but, it lacked something. I thought Shirley may not have had her 'Saturday hat' on she was obviously ultra strict with her rulings. Loved it when she almost shouted at the audience "alright but we don't just give tens for nothing". (or similar words. And Craig came over as more the goody with Shirley the baddy. Motsi just seems to be pleased to be there handing out tens like sweeties.
I did like Hamza's dances, Will's were very disappointing. I don't know how the public will react, who knows as it was a different night some might not even bother to vote but, yes probably should be Will in the dance off, not sure who else, possibly Helen.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 12 Dec 2022 10:13

I agree with you both :-)

The segments with Claudia are particularly annoying :-(. They have gone back to pre-pandemic when they were very noisy...it was much better last year when they were still doing social distancing :-)

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 13 Dec 2022 07:36

The correct result, Will was marginally the weakest :-(. So near, yet so far :-(

I felt sorry for Fleur though as I didn't feel she should have been in the dance off but I suppose someone had to make up the numbers :-)

It's going to be difficult to pick an outright winner, not like last year when I thought Rose & Giovanni were head and shoulders above the rest :-D

I suppose it will all come down to their performances on the night....may the best couple win :-)

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 13 Dec 2022 07:59

yes, sadly, the right decision. Fleur was the better dancer but Will has done so well. He can be proud, as can Nancy. I do sometimes think it is harder to teach a male to dance than a female. (I may be wrong of course). Nancy was so upset. I think the professionals feel they have failed when they are voted out.

Goodness knows who will win, anybody's guess I think. Oh and it was weird being on a Monday, didn't feel right at all.

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 13 Dec 2022 08:48

Well I know the outcome, but have not seen the show. Will have to catch up on i-player along with another show I wanted to see. :-| :-D

I agree it is anyone's guess who will win.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 13 Dec 2022 09:51

Yes, I think you are right AnnG about teaching male dancers especially when you're not a male dancer yourself :-)

We wil back to normality when it's on a Saturday again next week ;-)
