These are not the redesigned ones , which are not in circulation yet.


The one most often described as "rare" on eBay seems to be one with four shields and four national flowers, with a crown in the middle.

Prices on eBay range from £1 to £300,000 !

Perhaps they're being called "rare" because there aren't many of them around yet.
"Only" 4.9 million, with others to be released when required to replace old coins, according to that article.
I haven't seen any - but then I seldom use cash nowadays.

I'm seeing on Ebay people selling "Rare 50p King Charles 111 from £1500-£2500.00!

How is that possible??? What's rare about it as there are several not just one??
