Pleased you enjoyed your lunch, Kath.

We went out for lunch too to a carvery, where we met my nephew, his wife and teenage daughter. I opted for a child's portion, as we've been there before and seen the size of their meals.
I won't need to eat until at least breakfast time, but the food was lovely :-D

Afterwards we strolled around the outlet centre at Ashford.
Ages since I've been there but lots more boutique type shops now with matching prices, but still vastly reduced in many cases :-0
Lots of chat and lots of laughs, because the families always get on well together.

We only seem to get fireworks in November. Disturbed sleep is so annoying :-|

Turned out to be a really warm afternoon :-)

The Sunday lunch was fine and the place nice as well so I think Christmas will be fine. It's a much bigger place than I had imagined.

Not too far from you Joy - The Manor House at West Auckland. It's reputed to have been one of Henry VIII's hunting lodges. We had starters and mains but couldn't manage a desert afterwards, so we went for a short drive and went to Raby Castle for a coffee and cake and looked round the gift shop. Bought a couple of Christmas ornaments.

Hope you are back to dancing soon Joy.

Belle - they don't even start with the fireworks round here until after midnight. Drives me mad!

Booked two livestream events from our Book Festival today.

Missed the first (Ann Cleeves) but it is available until the end of the month.

The second (Fiona Hill) is on in less than an hour so I am going to get a coffee first.

Muscle and ribs still not 100% so no dancing tomorrow. :-(

It is a lovely sunny morning here and not too cool. Just saying :-D ;-)

Off out for lunch today to a place we haven't been to before. We have booked to go for Christmas Day lunch so thought we'd try it out beforehand - though since we've booked and paid for Christmas it's too late if we don't like it :-|
