It was dull here this morning but it has just started to brighten up and it's not too cold either :-)

A day of not doing very much for me :-D

After a slight mist in the early hours, it has turned out lovely. Not cold and the sun is showing its face. Been dancing this morning - always enjoyable.

I have a little blue tit who looks like it is getting one of the nesting boxes prepared and he/she (i think it will be a she) comes to the kitchen door and sits on the handle looking in at me and taps the window and wood - there must be a lot of tiny insects there that I can’t see. I have put nuts and sultanas out on the step but she is not interested in those. Aha now I see the blackbird is gobbling them up. At this time of year our birds don’t half put on a show when they are looking for mates. :-D

This morning a tiny squirrel came onto the kitchen step and looked in. I grabbed some nuts for but it was away faster than I could put them out.

Is it just me becoming more aware or are our suburban creatures becoming more brave in their search for food?

Now I am willing the otter to come back as it did twice a few years ago.
