JoyLouise, I spotted what may be another anomaly.
Did baby John/James go into prison with his mother? There was no record, just an assumption.
Why couldn't his aunts look after him?
Prisoners cost the Government money.
When my gg uncle was found guilty of derailing a train, in order to steal, he was given a sentence of 2 years in prison, which was changed to 2 years in an asylum.
The reason?
Government paid for prisoners, local authorities paid for asylum inhabitants.
Putting a toddler in prison would have cost money - much cheaper for the Government to insist he was looked after by family.

Looked it up Mr M.

The only two I don't know are Adeel and Amy.

I am looking forward to the Harriet Walters' episode as I have always enjoyed her acting.

Watched that, Mr M. I enjoyed it but I found one anomaly - when Zoe's ancestor was said to be 'out of work' in the 1921 census.

The expert never mentioned that in 1921 in Durham the vast majority of miners were said to be 'out of work'. She must have completely forgotten that there was a short lock-out by mine-owners because of the miners' clamour for higher wages.

Weird, too, I don't think she mentioned how many miners travelled from Cornwall when tin mining began to subside (unless I slept through that info - well, I am getting on a bit). Some headed north via Glamorgan, others headed straight to the north - my cousin's ancestors went via Glamorgan to Durham.

Can you give us a list of the remaining people, please?
