Started off bright here but now it is clouding over and a bit chilly. We are promised showers at around 1pm :-(

Had to be up early to phone at 8am for a telephone appointment with the doctor. My left leg which is always very swollen was even worse yesterday. The doctor will phone me this afternoon. Our doctor has just retired after more than 30 years at our surgery. There are two new doctors taking over his practice so I hope they are as nice as he was, I think the one phoning me is female so I'll have to see how I get on with her :-)

Hope you are successful with Royal Mail Joy. They are rubbish round here!

My telephone appointment with the doctor has just turned into a face to face appointment in an hour's time so now I have to get myself sorted to go out when I wasn't planning to. At least I will get to meet the new doctor face to face and so will my son as he is coming home to take me (he's so good to me <3)

I headed across to the other side of town to the RM Depot and discovered it was shut and only open to the public for two hours earlier in the morning and two hours in the afternoon. While I was quietly cursing, a young man came out so I collared him and asked him if there was any way I could get hold of my missing parcel. He went back in and brought a young woman out who was very helpful.

She went back in and came out with two sheets of paper to show me the parcel’s journey as it is tracked, thank goodness. It is held up in a northern mail centre.

At least it has not gone missing and I shall just have to be patient. Anyway, while I was across that side I decided to shop in Tesco for a change.

Strange innit when you shop in a different supermarket chain and you have no idea where things are? But my mood was lightened when I bumped into one of my fellow volunteers so we had a little natter. My purse was lightened even more. :-0 :-D
